i) Limited vocabulary - Due to children's limited vocabulary at this stage makes it difficult for the teacher to Interpret their needs accurately.
ii) Egocentrism - During this stage children have a high level of self-centeredness which makes it challenging for the teacher to train them perceive information from another child's point of view.
iii) Classification - Children tend to classify information into a single feature making it difficult for the teacher to widen their scope of understanding concepts easily.
iv) Concrete information - their understanding of abstract material is still in the process of developing thus the teacher may find it challenging to provide concrete physical situations to children in all areas of learning.
v) Reversibility - The teacher has the challenges of helping to remember most of the information learned since they have not yet learnt to mentally reverse what was previously done.
vi) Animism - children have a problem of differentiating that which has life and that which has no life. This poses the teacher with a challenges of helping them to distinguish occasions when to use human and non-human perspectives.
vii) Transductive reasoning - children reason from particular to particular/ transdictively and thus makes the teacher has challenges of helping children to reason logically/ systematically.
