Comprises of the following stages-:

The mother experiences lighting as the foetus turns upside down to face the birth canal.

There is expulsion of the body from the womb where the mother is to push.

There is expulsion of the placenta umbilical cord and amniotic membrane after birth.

The new born is called a menate for the first 7 days should be 3-5 kgs.

Research indicates that more boys than girls are delivered but the boys have more abnormalities than girls hence many of them tend to die before 2nd birth day
