(i) A man named Jairus, an official of the synagogue, came and humbled himself before Jesus.

(ii) He begged Jesus to go and heal his daughter who was very sick.

(iii) On the way to Jairus' home crowds of people followed Him.

(iv) A woman in the crowd who had a flow of blood touched Jesus' cloak.

(v) She stopped bleeding instantly.

(vi) Jesus asked for the one who had touched Him.

(vii) The healed woman trembled and knelt before Jesus to explain the healing.

(viii) Jesus told her to go in peace because her faith had healed her.

(ix) In the mean time a message was brought to Him that Jairus' daughter was already dead.

(x) Jesus told Jairus not to despair but to trust in God.

(xi) Jesus entered Jairus' house with His disciples, John, Peter,James and the girl's parents.

(xii) He told the crowd not to mourn because the child was a sleep; to which they mocked Him.

(xiii) He held the hand of the girl and commanded her to wake up.

(xiv) The girl rose from the dead to the amazement of those present.

(xv) Jesus directed that some food be given to her.

(xvi) He instructed her parents to keep this incident a secret.
