3. Land Development Projects - The land ownership inequity has severely caused widespread grievances and conflicts in a serious and non-sensitive manner.

4. Exploitation of Local Politics - E.g The Alshabaabs has violated Kenya as they have used economic and social grievances to deepen political differences and as a result further its own cause.

5. Government's Response - Certain ethnic and religious groups have been scapegoating and have played a role in to the Alshabaabs hands as a result of the politicization of the counter terrorism attacks.
