(i) Jesus cured many people of their diseases and sicknesses.

(ii) By performing the miracle of healing, Jesus was fulfilling Isaiah's prophecy of a Messiah who would work miracles in God's name.

(iii) Jesus then asked the disciples of John to report what they had seen and what they had heard.

(iv) The disciples of John were to see how the Old Testament prophecies were being fulfilled in Jesus through His person and work.

(v) Jesus addressed the crowd and paid tribute to John the Baptist as the greatest prophet.

(vi) Jesus told the crowd that John the Baptist was the one prophesied to prepare the way for Him as the Messiah.
