Define Euthanasia.

It is the act or practice of ending life in a painless manner to prevent continuous suffering of a hopelessly sick person or domestic animal. The patient can also be in an irreversible coma.

It is a painless death thus also known as ‘mercy killing’. Euthanasia is intentional as there is no euthanasia unless the death is intentionally caused by what was done or not done.

Some medical actions that are often labeled, 'passive euthanasia', are no form of euthanasia since the intention to take life is unethical.
