1) ADVANCED TERMINAL ILLNESS THAT IS CAUSING UNBEARABLE SUFFERING TO THE INDIVIDUAL:

Chronic diseases such as cancer causes tremendous pain and suffering by the victim which results to the victim together with their family members incurring a lot of cost, both financially, emotionally and mentally, especially in scenarios where they are not financially stable. This in turn lives the family stigmatized and hopeless. The family begins to get frustrated and desperate when the patient’s condition deteriorates, hence, they seek for an escape plan. It is at such moments that they prefer euthanasia in order to ease the victim more pain and suffering.

2) THE BELIEF AND DESIRE TO DIE A GOOD DEATH

- Some people believe that certain ways of dying are better than others, thus, euthanasia allows one to die in a dignified manner. This is because it is a painless death as compared to other deaths such as, being involved in a car accident, drowning in water, or even being a fire victim.

3) INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY AND FREEDOM

- All individuals in a free society should be able to choose their manner of death. Some people claim that their lives are in their hands, thus, they have the freedom either to take it or live it. So, some people prefer performing euthanasia rather than living a life that is full of pain and suffering.

4) JUSTICE AND PRODUCTIVITY:

Gerald G. describes euthanasia as, in order to achieve justice in a situation when there is competition of limited resources. He asserts that, those who contribute less to the society should be executed to let the more valuable ones to live
