This is the ability to see objects in three dimensions although the images that strike the retina are two-dimensional; allows us to judge distance. It is organizing sensations in terms of distance they are from us.

To judge distance the brain transforms two dimensional images that fall on our retina. They are organized by the brain to become one. The eyes receive slightly different images on the retina and this difference is known as binocular cue retina disparity. The brain organizes (fuses) into one object and then one is able to judge the distance
