This is a thought process by which individuals overcome obstacles to reach a goal. There are various strategies that are used in problem-solving
i. Trial and error – this is an approach to problem-solving in which the individual tries one possible solution after another until one works. Sometimes this strategy is not effective
ii. Insight method – this is an approach to problem-solving that depends on mental manipulation of information rather than the trial and error. It is usually characterized by “Aha” experience (awareness). That is the sudden realization of the solution to a problem (devise another method, it will work)
Algorithm – this is a rule when followed step by step assures that the solution to a problem will be found e.g. recipe, tie and die BODMAS
