By far the most popular method for measuring Jung’s psychological types is the Myer Biggs Type Indicator. The measuring tool divides people into categories along four dimensions. Jung eight personality types are created by dividing people into extraversion- introversion, sensing-intuitive, thinking-feeling categories. In addition the test-makers have included a judgment-perception division.

People with judging attitude tend to ignore new information as soon as they have enough facts to make up their minds. People with perceptive attitude are open to new information. They are curious and inquisitive. By dividing people along each of these four lines, the test makers can identify 16 different personality types. Thus someone who is extraverted, intuitive, feeling and perceptive is very different from someone who is extraverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging
