(i) Symbolic representation.

(ii) Inflexible/ irreversible thought-Children cannot think backwards/ reverse mentally.

(iii) Geocentricism-children are self-centred/ assume others think as they do/ they think things happen because of them.

(iv) Animism-children concentrate/ centre on one attribute/ aspect of the objects/ they observe/ centre on features of things that are most noticeable/ ignore the other features.

(v) Artificialism-children believe everything that happen has a reason related to how the child thinks/ feels/ everything in the world is made/ happens for people.

(vi) Overgenerelization-children overuse the few acquired concepts/ use one word to describe many things.

(vii) Due to inability to understand conservation,children are unable to perceive the reality of materials/ liquids/ substance/ numbers/ weight remaining the same inspite of changes in appearance owing to the space they occupy.
