Children who are needy for school should be able to show persistence on tasks/ curiosity/ enthusiasm.

(ii) Cognition/ general knowledge/ mental ability.
School ready children should be able to show thinking/ problem solving skills/ knowledge about particular objects.

(iii) Moral development/ ability to judge right and wrong.
School ready children should be ready to show change in behaviour.

(iv) Language development/ ability to communicate.
Children who are ready for school should be able to communicate/ show ability to communicate their needs/wants/ thoughts to others.

(v) Social development.
Children who are ready for school should be able to interact with others/ show positive social behaviour/ skills.

(vi) Physical well-being/ motor development.
School ready children should be able to display age/appropriate fine motor skills/ co-ordination.
