(i) Brain damage/ injury which affects performance/ intellectual functioning/ reduces ability to perform tasks/ poor motor co-ordination/ mental retardation.

(ii) Poor health/ lack of immunization may result in child mortality/ disability/ sickness/ illness.

(iii) Insecurity which may result in fear/ withdrawal/ anxiety/ aggression/ hyperactivity/depression/ lack of co-operation/ dependency/ mistrust/ lack of self-confidence.

(iv) Poor foundation which will adversely/ negatively affect the physical/ social/ emotional/ intellectual/ moral development of the individual.

(v) Malnutrition which leads to nutrition related illnesses/ marasmus/ kwashiakor/ impaired physical development/ stunted growth, impaired mental development/ impairment of intellectual functioning.

(vi) Delayed milestone/ slow rate of growth and development children will lag behind their peers in all aspects/ become immature/ fail to exploit the fastest period of growth and development/ their potential to the fullest.
