(iii) Prolonged labour.
Prolonged labour could cause anoxial/ lack of sufficient oxygen to the baby's brain leading to brain damage/ mental retardation.

(iv) Use of forceps.
Forceps are spoon like medical instruments used to pull out the baby and they may cause skull damage/ damage/ mental retardation/ impairment of brain functions.

(v) Breech delivery.
This is a condition where the baby is not presenting the head first thus the spinal cord may be damaged/ there may be prolonged labour leading to anoxial/ lack of sufficient oxygen to the baby's brain/ tearing of the mother's uterus/ either mother or baby or both will die.

(vi) Caesarean section.
This is a surgical operation to remove the baby from the mother's uterus but the baby may be exposed to too much oxygen at once leading the baby becoming blind/ inability of the baby to cry immediately can lead to anoxia/ lack of sufficient oxygen to the baby's brain/ the baby may contract HIV if the doctor cuts the baby accidentally.
