• To express on audit opinion on the true and fair view.
• To communicate other findings about the financial statement to those who arc charged
with ensuring good co-operate governance.
ii) Content of an unqualified audit report
• Proper books of accounts have been maintained as required by the company's Act.
• The accounts are in agreement with books of accounts.
• The accounts prepared do comply with the company's Act.
• Financial statements prepared do show a true and fair view of the company state of
affairs as at the end of the financial year.
• Where all information and explanation considered necessary to the auditor's best of
knowledge and belief has been obtained.
• For group accounts adequate returns have been received from the branches or subsidiaries
not visited during the audit.
