(ii) Early marriage as they are considered adults and their parents marry them off.

(iii) Excessive bleeding during the operation/ cut may lead to death.

(iv) Difficult birth leading to multiple tears during child birth/ lack of elasticity of the birth canal due to the scar.

(v) Easy transmission of HIV/ AIDS as a result of sharing cutting instruments during the operation.
