services to customers to trick them into buying products they wouldn't ordinarily buy.
2. Tax evasion: This entails taxpayers deliberately misrepresenting or concealing the true
state of their affairs to the tax authorities to reduce their tax liability. It includes dishonest
tax reporting such as declaring less income, profits or gains than actually earned; or
overstating deductions.
3. Environmental degradation: Engaging in avoidable and controllable activities that deplete
natural resources like water, soil and air.
4. Child labour: This is an exploitative practice which involves employment of children at
regular and sustained labour to cut operating costs and is considered illegal by many
international organizations.
5. Exaggerating financial reporting: Exaggerating the company's financial performance to
financial institutions when applying for debt financing
