(i) Human beings have to appease God through sacrifices and offerings to maintain order in creation.

(ii) They have a duty to worship God as a sign of their their dependence.

(iii) Traditional African communities believe in a Supreme being who has power to create and sustain His creation.

(iv) Some traditional African communities describe God as a potter who works on clay or wood as a way of describing His creation work.

(v) God created the sun and the moon to give His creation light during the day and night respectively.

(vi) God's power is manifested in natural phenomena like thunder, lightning and rainbow and the regular patterns of day and night.

(vii) Human beings play a central role in God's creation and have responsibilities to care for creation.

(viii) Man and woman were created by God for companion and procreation.
