(i) Give recognition to achievement.
Lack of patience and attention for the child by caregivers may contribute to unhealthy development of children.
A child needs to know that parents are happy with his/ her progress in learning. Children should be given time to reflect over their activities and caregivers should pay great attention to children's ideas and comments.
(ii) Be a role model for children to emulate.
Parents and caregivers should now interest in children's activities, provide materials, encourage picture reading and read stories. Children who receive love from the caregivers are also able to give love and affection to others in the society. They are able to develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.
(iii) Praise and encourage the child.
This makes the child eager to repeat an action .
It involves listening to the child, talking to the child and showing interest in the child's activities.
