General policies – direct rule and indirect rule they affected education

Direct

In direct rule the European rulers were at all levels. Their argument was that the African institutions were not good enough for what they wanted. Africans were backward, illiterate, technologically poor.
Indirect rule was where the British sued the African leaders to administer. They saw it as more effective and it reduced the cost.

Policies of education
It includes; the French policies based on their general policy direct rule; British and missionary. Direct rule led to assimilation in education, indirect rule led to the adaptation policy in education.
