Nationalism: a nationalist works for one’s country and devotes oneself to servicing the nation and the unity of his or her nation. Thus a Kenyan nationalist is devoted to Kenya and seeks to unite fellow countrymen above the interests of race, tribe, religion or parochialism
Patriotism: a patriot is one who loves, serves or seeks to promote the well being of one’s country. Thus a good Kenyan citizen loves and seeks to contribute to the development of Kenya
Morality: good citizens are expected o uphold moral values. These include universally accepted moral standards such as respect of life, honesty and decency
Integrity: a good citizen does what the law expects at all times and in all situations. A good citizen should offer selfless service with dedication and commitment as a way of playing their honest role in national building
Thrift: these are rules that govern behavior. A good citizen adheres to work ethics such as accountability, transparency, zero tolerance to corruption, hard work and personal initiative
