(i) Description of the child.
Present level of functioning/ emographic information about the child/ description of the child's strengths and needs/ results of initial observation and test.

(ii) Goal and objectives.
Goals are written for the results that the teacher would like to see during the year.

(iii) Related services to be provided.
Services to supplement the activities provided in the classroom such as sign languages for deaf/ orientation and mobility for the visually impaired.

(iv) Special education placement.
The most appropriate placement in the latest restrictive environment must be determined after the goals have been set up.

(v) Time and duration of services.
A date must be determined for the beginning of the child's special services.

(vi) Evaluation of the IEP.
Regular evalutation is carried out to learn how the child is progressing towards the goals/ annual meeting to review progress and goals.
