1. production of similar products - many African countries produce similar products in their industries this limits their market and thus curb their development.
2. in-advanced technology- most third world countries are in Africa with minimal advanced in technology this limits the production process and more often than not it is costly.
3.stiff competition in the word market- due to higher cost of production and lower quality of products as compared to the products from developed countries,African industries face a tough competition.
4.excessive importation -excess importation of goods by African countries oxygenates the infant industries by limiting their only market.
5. inadequate technical skills- in Africa there are limited personnel to help as strategist in industrial growth and development.
