(i) Removes any odours which develop when people are crowded together.

(ii) Gets rid of air pollutants such as smoke, aerosol spray, dust, gases and stench release from decay matter.

(iii) Prevents humidity which if in excess of the normal requirement produces an extremely stuffy feeling characterized by drowsiness.


(iv) Gets rid of surplus heat from people and machinery which makes the working atmosphere uncomfortable.

(v) Increases the free circulation of air which reduces the concentration of bacteria and viruses on it thus preventing the spread of airborne diseases.
