(i) Inadequate basis.
Limited supply of water/ food which would lead to starvation/ malnutrition/ death.

(ii) Poor health/ diseases.
Unhygienic conditions may prevail due to change of environment/ weather/ limited medical services which may lead to frequent ailments or death.

(iii) Displacement.
Some families may be compelled to live as internally displaced, persons (IDP's) in the camps hence high drop-out rate at the ECDE centre.

(iv) Social trauma.
Parents and children may be affected due to unexpected deaths/ suffering/ torture that results to fear/ anxiety/ mistrust and uncertainty.

(v) Destruction.
ECDE programmes may destroy/ households may lose their shelter and family investments.

(vi) Insecurity.
ECDE staff/ teachers/ workforce are likely to flee from the affected area/ movement may be restricted hence absenteeism of staff in the ECDE centre.

(vii) Economic retrogression.
Many ECDE activities may suffer/ slow down the process of the development of ECDE programmes/ contributions may stall due to hostile conditions.
