A survey is an attempt to collect data from members of a population to determine the current status of that population with respect to one or more variables. Survey research is therefore a self-report study which requires the collection of quantifiable information from the sample.
Information collected through surveys may be used for various purposes for example, market researchers use survey to evaluate products acceptance and use.
