Infancy development stage simply means the stage in which human beings typically grow and mature from infancy through adulthood and the different aspect of growth are measured in physical, cognitive and social growth.Under BIOLOGICAL factors we have GROWTH in which changes in general body growth result from different rates of growth in different parts of the body, example the infant head constitutes 1/4th of the entire length of the body at birth, whereas the adult head is only 1/8th of the length. We also have LENGTH and HEIGHT,some children reach adult height in their early teens yet others continue to grow throughout late adolescence. The period of rapid growth are infancy and puberty.Under SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT it is considered that the body demonstrates evidence that an individual social surrounding influence their health status.A number of mechanism has been put forward example it has been hypothesized that children may tend to adopt different characters and initiate what they see, hear in their environment thus those who grow up in context characterized by high quality education and care, access to a range of essential services and recreational facilities and social cohesion experience better developmental outcomes than those who grow up in context characterized by lack of resources and social antagonism.CULTURE also shapes experience and influence children's development through their culture, infant learn which behavior and temperament are preferred or discouraged, example independence and self esteem are valued in some cultures;interdependence and the strong connections are preferred in other cultures, you find that universal trend is that children who are pro-social and non-aggressive are liked by other children. We all need to understand how culture shapes child development in order to improve the likes of children in a way that respect their cultural backgrounds. On EMOTIONAL FACTORS,emotion learning begins at a young age and the learning grows with their age, infants express their feelings through non verbal communication. When an infant is 6 months they will start to look at their hands, suck fingers,on 6-1 year they express emotions like anger, happiness, fearfulness. We need to understand that all children are special in their own ways. The one thing to remember is always let your child know that you love him no matter what.
