-The bantus displaced the original Inhabitants of the region like the Okiek

-They spread the knowledge of iron working to the Maasai
-Intensified warfare in the region especially over land for pasture and crop farming
-They spread agricultural practices in Kenya e.g. the Kwavi- Maasai adopted crop farming.
