A shaft with rotating parts has moment of inertia of 20 kg per square meters. It is accelerated from rest by an acceleration torque of 45 NM,Determine the speed of the shaft in revolutions per seconds after 15 seconds.

Torque =moment of inertia*acceleration.
Therefore acceleration =torque/inertia.
=45/20=2.25 rad/square seconds.
If initial velocity is zero then final velocity=0+[15*2.25]=33.75 rads/second'
Now convert the rad/sec to rev/min
=33.75*60/2pi=322.3 rev/min.
