Culture is the beliefs and norms of a given community. Margaret Ogolla uses her novel "The River And The Source" to illustrate the statement above. For instance;Ogolla uses marriage in many times in the novel to express on how culture links people of different communities for example chief Owuor Kembo marries Akoko and paid the pride price hence binds the relationship between the people of Sakwa and that of Yimbo. This is true in the society we are living where people get married from and to different communities hence strengthen the relationships among different communities. To conclude, marriage is a symbol of togetherness.
