The 4 hierarchical levels of protein structure are the primary,secondary,tertiary and quaternary structures. The primary structure is the sequence of amino acid residue. The secondary structure is the localized organization of parts of a polypeptide chain. The quaternary structure describes the number and the relative position of the sub units of a multimeric protein.
