Discuss solutions to causes of educated unemployment

-Credit facilities to school leavers/graduates. Credit facilities could enable them to start their
own business.
-Find ways and means of curbing rural urban migration by the means of rural work programmes, district focus for rural development as a way of providing job opportunities into the rural areas.
-Encouraging of one-man one job policy instead of one person holding many jobs.
-Use of appropriate technology that is, the labor-intensive approach instead of the capital intensive approach especially in developing countries
-Promotion of informal sector (jua kali). This does not require persons of high
qualification.
- Curbing or controlling population growth rate:
a) Through family planning methods so that in the end population will go down.
Low enrolment in various stages of learning and number of school leavers
graduates will be low, supply to the labour market will be also low.
b) Encourage people to acquire high level of education so that fertility rate goes
down, hence less children
-Putting emphasis on the development of more small scale and cottage industries especially for school leavers at primary and secondary levels.
-Making formal education more relevant to the needs of the employment markets by means of constant review of the curriculum so that it can equip the learners with the skills and knowledge needed within the employment markets.
-Making changes within the economy in terms of greater regional cooperation and by
providing incentives to the various investors
- Encouraging the policy of one man one job.
