- Has clear-cut division of labour; among various positions and officials.

- Authority is arranged in a hierarchy.

- The rules and regulations are enacted to govern official

- Employment is based on merit i.e. one has to possess the required skills and meet the required
criteria to be employed or to be a member.

- Well defined guidelines of promotion and/ or advancement within that same organization.

- Well defined population or groups of people. However this population may not be permanent as it
were.

- Have well defined goals i.e. answer the question: For what purpose was it set up?

- Members of a social class organization are impersonal and objective when dealing with other members of the organization at official level.
