- Organize workshops and seminars for members through which exchange of ideas on various aspects of teaching profession takes place.
- Set minimum qualifications that one must have to be considered for training as a teacher.
- Address issues in curriculum; content, How to teach/ Methods.
- Streamline recruitment and admission criteria – teaching should be considered as any other profession. The minimum qualifications have to be the same.
- There should be clear guidelines on registration of teachers and like doctors teachers should also take an oath of service.
- License all teachers and make it illegal for untrained teachers to practice.
- Encourage professional development of teachers by encouraging them to continue learning.
- Pay the teachers well, like other professions.
