Child can be defined as:
Biologically, a child (plural: children) is a human being between the stages of birth and puberty.

In legal terms, a child is a young human being below the age of puberty or below the legal age of majority.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child defines child as "a human being below the age of 18 years unless under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier".

ii. Growth
Growth is the gradual increases in size and weight of the body over a period of time.

To be pecise, growth can be defined as the increases in cell size and number that take place during the life history of an organism.

iii. Development
Development is the series of changes which an organism undergoes in its passage from the embryonic state to maturity, from a simple to a more complex state of existence.
