State and explain the types of Capacity Building and Empowerment indicators.

1. Economic-
A capacity built and empowered community will involve itself in the participation in the labor force .i.e. introducing new types of work requiring different source of training and they will adapt the status hierarchy .i.e. rich, middle class and the poor.
-Economic indicators of C.B.E also involves changes in expectation of women work and proportion of women working outside their homes .i.e. more women getting involved in jobs outside their homes.

2. Health and sanitation –
C.B.E improves health and sanitation, hunger, malnutrition and disease control. Empowered people can identify the causes of their poor health and find ways of preventing and even ways of treating diseases.
-People getting involved in agriculture sector to provide food for their families as a result people acquire food security and they are able to eat well to improve their health.

3. Political-
An empowered community will exhibit practical stability. Women will recognize their political rights and will ignore the stigmatization that comes with women being involved in politics.
-Peoples’ awareness on their right to vote will be raised. They will know how to select good leaders. Mature politics will be needed in areas where empowerment has taken place because people will expect their leaders to lead them to development activities.

4. Social-
Empowered communities will strive to eliminate poverty and hunger. Poverty is a problem in the whole world and empowerment gives the community the ability to fight poverty.
-Empowerment also improves social status because the powered people will seek employment and hence promote social integration. Empowered people live together in harmony and peace.

5. Cultural-
Empowerment and capacity building enhances cultural practices. People participate in development activities as ‘wholes.’ This means that they bring to the activity not only what makes them unique but also what makes them identifiable as cohesive social group in the sense that they share certain common characteristics. These common features manifest themselves in the due to empowerment because people will come together to work in a problem.
-People will view themselves collectively and a sense of ‘we’ not “I” will prevail.

6. Technological psych- spiritual
-Advances in technologies can significantly influence development. Empowered community will have the ability to utilize technological development and adapt them to suit their situation.
