a) Survey feedback and research-
It involves the use of questionnaires, surveys to help determine the attitude of the members to the functioning op0f the organization. The result of the survey is provided to management and work groups or department for interpretation and analysis. Group members participate in discussions on the diagnosis of the problem and development of the action plan to help overcome the problem identified.

b) Sensitive training –
This involves small structured face to face grouping who meet without planned agenda or activity set. Training here concentrate on process rather than content. With the help of trainees the focus of attention is the participants’ pattern of behavior. The aim of training is to incorporate the participant’s sensitivity to the emotional in themselves and others, their diagnostic ability and behaviors flexibility and attentiveness. The sessions are administered through lectures, study groups and other exercises.

c) Team building –
This is the process of diagnosing task procedure and pattern of a human interaction with a work group. The basic objectives are to improve the overall performance of the organization through improvement of the attentiveness of the team. Attention is focused on work procedure and interpersonal relationship and especially the role of the leader in relation to other members of the group.

d) The leader of a group can improve team spirit through;
• Representing and defending the team in the outside world e.g. fighting for extra resources on their behalf.
• Clarify the criteria division among team members hence ensuring that all members are fully aware of their individual and collective responsibility.
• A fair distribution of work and responsibilities with the group especially at unpleasant or exceptional demanding task
Phase 1: Grid Training (seminars) - This is a five day seminar where participant learn more about the grid and about their own personal style of managing.
The goals of grid seminar are;
i. To increase understanding
ii. To experience problem solving or effectiveness in the team
iii. To learn about the management interface conflict
iv. To comprehend organizational implications
Phase 2: Team building – It flows the grid seminars and it’s concerned with the diagnosis of barriers to sound team work and the model and identification of opportunities while improving the actual work team.
It’s a major goal is to establish the objectives for and individual development.
Phase 3: Interface development- Its concerned with intergroup relation analyzing barriers to interface co-operation and co-ordination and applying problem solving and decision making skills and conflict and friction among groups identified and analyzed.
Phase 4: Ideal strategy organizational model- In this phase participants of the team study and diagnosed the current goals, needs and business activities of the organization. The top team then designs an ideal co-operate model and specify a blue print for the redesign of the organization.
Phase 5: Implementing development- This phase is concerned with the implementation of the ideal corporate model. This involves the examination of the examination of the existing activities, identification of those that are sound and the design of specific action as necessary to change of activities to meet the ideal model.
Phase 6: Consolidation- It is the overall evaluation phase. It is concerned with the stabilizing and consolidating progress achieved in the earlier phases. The organization continues to adopt and the necessary to monitor environment changes which may call for shift in the model.
