Answers

Faith
-Maize is cross pollinated and mainly depends on wind. 95% cross pollination and 5% self-pollination though the crop is complete self-compatible.
-Tassel initiation occurs 5 weeks after emergence as the top leaves elongate rapidly and tassels emerge.
-The pollen grains are shed a few days after tassel development. 2 -3 days later, there is emergence of the silk from the top of the husk that continues elongating until they are pollinated.
