Beer Making
-Low nitrogen content is needed for beer making.
-Making of beer involves two major processes namely: Malting and brewing

1.Malting
-It involves controlled germination process which produces acomplement of enzymes which are able to convert cereal starch to fermented sugars. This facilitates adequate release of and supply of amino acids and other nutrients for yeast and to modify the quality of macromolecules which has important effects in the physical quality of beer.
2.Brewing
-The process of converting starch to alcohol
-First by transforming starch to sugars and then fermenting sugar to alcohol by means of yeast.
-Almost 75% of starch in malting barley is fermented to alcohol.
