1.Be explicit about the process of involvement i.e. state time limits, degree of participation and people involved.
2.State the nature of the problem to be solved.
3.State clearly how ideas generated will be incorporated in the final decision.
4.Delegation of decision can ease the work of the administrator especially on making of minor decisions. This can be effected by involving appropriate personnel at the proper time.
5.Understanding of the goals of the organization and be able to set priorities an initiatives at each stage.
6.One should have sufficient information to be able to make sound decisions and support them.
7.One should be able to understand the problem or situation about which a decision is required.
8.Participatory decision making calls for understanding of the organizational goals and collective sharing of responsibility and accountability.
