1.Brandy cocktails
This type of cocktail is normally made up with Brandy added to other ingredients like Angostura, milk nutmeg, egg, sugar, orgeat and ruby port. You can also add apple brandy, lime juice, sweet vermouth Cognac, and Peychaud's bitters to the combination to make up your own recipe for a brandy cocktail.

2.Gin cocktails
This cocktail type means that you have a cocktail which has the light flavor. This is because of the addition of a little bit of gin to different ingredients. These ingredients are lemon juice, rum, cola, gin, tonic water, egg white, grenadine, and apricot brandy. Or you can try out a combination of cream, orange liqueur, gin, bitters, maraschino, and sweet vermouth, among others.

3.Rum cocktails
A rum cocktail means a type of cocktail, which has rum added, crème de menthe, coconut juice ,orange, and Curacao. You can also add strawberries, grapefruit juice, and even ginger beer. The rum can be White rum, light rum or Jamaican rum. Other ingredients, you can add to this type of cocktail are maraschino liqueur, coffee
liqueur, crème de banane, Spiced Cordial Syrup, mint , black coffee, amaretto, and even molasses or honey.

4.Whiskey cocktails
The normal whiskey, which is used in whiskey cocktails, is a blended whiskey. Raw whiskey is too strong for a cocktail. This type of cocktail can also have different ingredients like blended whiskey, Irish whiskey, Benedictine, bitters and lime juice added to it. You can make different types of cocktails by adding lemon-lime soda and sweet vermouth to the rye whiskey. Other ingredients in this type of cocktail are Sweet vermouth, Cognac, Benedictine, lemon juice, Canadian whiskey, cranberry juice, apple schnapps, orange juice and Champagne.
