1) Lack of Time: - some cases are too rich and complex that one cannot deal with all the issues in the available time.
2) Learners may not see relevance to own situation. This may lead to a lack of commitment or involvement in the case unless learners have a stake in the outcome of the case. Thus they may consider the results as mediocre (nothing).
3) Lack of experience with the case method.
4) Insufficient information can lead to inappropriate results.
5) Not appropriate for elementary level.
