Here number of number in the group is taken into consideration. According to these criteria
groups can be classified as:
a) Small Groups and
b) Big Groups.
a) Small Groups:
Member in this type is considerably less. Each member an identify each other and can establish
close or direct relationship. In such groups feeling of co-operation and sympathy can be achieved individually. Size is limited e.g. family, Sport Club, etc.
b) Big Groups:
This type of group is bigger in size. Number of members in a group is considerably large. I.e. 61 to 1000 e.g. University, Church etc. In larger group relationship is not direct and involves in to association.
