These theories are divided into four categories which include structural functionalism theory,
statist theory, political interaction theory and communication theory.
(b) Marxist and neo Marxist theories.
These are divided into two sub theories. These are class struggle theory and dependency and
underdevelopment theory.
(c) Post modernist theories.
These are divided into state theory, liberal democratic theory, human rights theory and
globalization theory. State theory falls both in modernization and post modernist theories.
