Who is the Epic hero according to literature?

In general the hero is:

a) The dominant personality in the Epic
b) The character around whom the action of the epic revolves
c) His life has a national significance
d) He is the focal point around whom the nation's struggles and conflicts revolve.
e) He has a great effect on his society
f) He has a dialectal relationship with his society. ie he is influenced by the society and
in turn he influences society.
g) The Epic hero is often portrayed as an exceptional man
h) He may be born of a lineage of kings or chiefs so an effort is made to show that this
man is not a commoner/ordinary person.
i)The hero often has a strange birth note (e.g. birth make limp etc)
j)The hero is often rejected by his immediate family and this makes it difficult for him to
rule his people but nobody can change the course of destiny.
k)The hero has often to go into exile only to come back and capture his kingdom.
l)The hero is always supported by nature and supernatural powers.
m)The hero becomes the conqueror and the beloved of all in the community.
