Security as a natural need covers the whole person. It therefore can be analyzed into:

a. Physical security: These are measures that are designed to deny unauthorized access to facilities, equipment and resources, and to protect personnel and property from damage or harm. Physical security involves the use of multiple layers of interdependent systems which include CCTV surveillance, security guards, protective barriers, locks, access control, protocols, and many other techniques.
b. Psychological security: This is the measure of the stability of one’s mental state. It determines how individuals react to various situations such as loss of loved ones. Psychological security is as a result of brain chemistry and stimulus from the environment and explains why some individuals are more secure than others. As part of it is emotional insecurity. It is a feeling of general unease or nervousness that may be triggered by perceiving of oneself to be vulnerable or inferior in some way, or a sense of vulnerability or instability which threatens one's self image or ego.
c. Financial security: This is the condition of having the resources to support a standard of living now and in the foreseeable future. It threatens the ability to meet one’s needs in present or future.
d. Social security: This is the general concept of being secure in society from want and the systems to ensure this
e. Spiritual security: A sense of connecting to one’s destiny based on the belief in a supernatural being and life after death. It gives a sense of hope and meaning of life.
f. Informational security: This is the practice of defending information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording or destruction. It is a general term that can be used regardless of the form the data may take. Two major aspects of information security are:

• IT security: Sometimes referred to as computer security, Information Technology Security is information security applied to technology (most often some form of computer system). A computer is any device with a processor and some memory (even a calculator). IT security specialists are almost always found in any major enterprise/establishment due to the nature and value of the data within larger businesses. They are responsible for keeping all of the technology within the company secure from malicious cyber attacks that often attempt to breach into critical private information or gain control of the internal systems.
• Information assurance: The act of ensuring that data is not lost when critical issues arise. These issues include but are not limited to: natural disasters, computer/server malfunction, physical theft, or any other instance where data has the potential of being lost. Since most information is stored on computers in our modern era, information assurance is typically dealt with by IT security specialists. One of the most common methods of providing information assurance is to have an off-site backup of the data in case one of the mentioned issues arise.
