I. Utilitarian goals:

development of original thought processes and also examination of structure in natural
phenomenon.
B Mathematics as a powerful language which is precise and ambiguous helps the individual benefit of a culture to make mathematical models to explain natural phenomenon. The symbolism involved is a useful means of efficient communication which help to transmit cultural values to the youth
b) Mathematics contribute to logic in a culture: This helps individuals to appreciate beauty in their culture
IV. Personal goals
a) Study of Mathematics builds a person’s character through active involvement in Mathematics
learning. Contribution to personal success and develop patience as one works with others.
b) Study of Mathematics gives a person an opportunity for stimulating curiosity self-expression and self-criticism.
