I) The administrative section:
Administrative issues are very important as they describe the location of an activity. These include name of the school, class\form, term and year.
Every class must have its own scheme of work even if it’s the same form.
ii) The main frame:
This has nine columns each showing the components to be included namely:
Week: This is the time of the school term in terms of weeks recorded as 1, 2, 3, up to the last week of the term.
iii) Lesson number:
These are number of lessons either in a given week or for the entire term.
Usually they are entered per week up to 6 or 7 or as offered by the school
Iv) Major Topics
Major topics are the syllabus topics and not the ones in the text book as it may not reflect the expected level of content scope
V) Subtopic contents:
The subtopics/content is the lesson topics
Vi) Instructional Objectives: These are subtopics objectives stated in specified measurable term.
