1. Lecture Method
Lecture method can be defined as a way of teaching by means of the spoken word. It is an oral method of delivering information and creating understanding in the learners. Lecture in its origin
form, assumes the leaner to be tabula rasa (A Latin phrase meaning ‘clean slate’) It therefore views the learners as having minds similar to a clean slate; the teacher therefore aims at filling
the slate. During the teaching- learning process, the teacher engages in giving information while learners listen and take down notes. This teaching method is very expository in nature. It is however useful when carefully planned and skillfully delivered in introducing new concepts, motivating learners, clarifying issues, providing consolidated research information, sharing personal
experiences, covering a lot of materials within a short time and summarizing key points.

2. Demonstration method
Demonstration is a way of teaching that involves presentation of pre-arranged events for observation and learning purposes. It is a method where the learner observes the portrayal of a
procedure, technique or operation. It involves showing and explaining through accurate procedures and guidelines, how to do something or how something works. For example electric wiring, baking of a fruit cake, scientific experiments etc.

3. Story telling/Narration method
Kafwa (2014) defines story telling as conveying of events in words, images and sounds often by improvisation or embellishment. The storytelling is synonymously used with narration in which
children have an innate love of stories. Stories create magic and a sense of wonder at the world. Stories teach people about the life, themselves and others. Story telling is a unique way for learners to develop an understanding, respect and appreciate others cultures and can promote a positive attitude to people from different lands, race and religions. Stories or narratives have been shared in every culture as a means of entertainment, education, cultural preservation and in order to instill moral values.

4. Question and answer method
Questioning is a carefully designed string of questions which lead the leaner to arrive at an answer. It is at the core of any teaching. Kochhar (1992) says ‘the teacher who never asks
questions never teaches’. The domain of questions cuts across all other domains of teaching and involves critical thinking. It is an important area of learning and concerns with how the learners
acquire knowledge and how the perception is organized. It involves intuition, imagination and reasoning.
