a)Quantitative research
This is the type of research where the researcher is interested in quantities or numbers and it aims at discovering relationships and the methods suitable for this are mostly survey and experimental. The instruments are usually, structured questionnaires, observation, check list and interviews and data analysis is mainly statistical.
b) Qualitative research
Qualitative research on the other hand is one whose data is basically descriptive in nature and this means that the data to be obtained are ordinarily obtained in a non numerical terms. Qualitative research aims at discovering facts. That collected is usually subjective and the main measurement tool for collecting data is the investigator himself / herself
